Here's Winky, all ready for Easter with a scattering of pastel eggs.

¡Hola mi amigos!

Ever have one of those days—or months—where life's so crammed you can't find your car keys, but they're actually in your hand? Yep, that's been me. Currently juggling prep for our epic adventure to Greece and Turkey, followed by a long hop to see the fam in Malaysia. Stateside goodbyes, packing, you name it, it’s on my to-do list.

My crochet blog's been low on my priority list with all that's going on, but my crochet hooks are still flying. And if you're a crochet addict like me, then you know I've got WIPs (works in progress) for days, right? Sometimes I’m all about that zen, one-stitch-blanket, other times I’m craving a bit of that new project high.

Enter the Wooble amigurumi kit. These kits aren't exactly wallet-friendly, but they’re complete: all the newbie tools, an easy-enough pattern, tutorial vids, and even a pre-started magic circle (what?! i know right). A godsend for an overwhelmed amigurumi rookie like me. All the decisions have been made for me upfront.

With Easter peeking around the corner, I picked a bunny kit to test—perfect for my flight project checklist. Compact? Check. Single-session satisfaction? Check. And maybe, just maybe, a random travel buddy or hotel housekeeper might get a surprise crochet critter.

And this bunny's got sass. Thanks to my, ahem, creative interpretation of the ear-attachment instructions (ie didn't watch the video), it's rocking a floppy ear. Kinda like a winky face, but with its ear. A bunny wink, if you will.

And finally, my verdict of the Wooble kit. I should say up front that I am not getting paid for this review and I purchased the kit myself. Also, I named my bunny Winky but The Woobles have their own name for him. This kit is called "Meet Jojo the Bunny". It’s pretty neat that it includes nearly everything you need. But, don't forget your scissors! I’ve got my TSA-approved pair that I’m crossing my fingers will be accepted globally (mental note: check every airline’s rules).

The written instructions are fine if you’ve got some crochet experience under your belt. If not, the video tutorials are there for you—straightforward and segmented for easy consumption. But here’s the rub: I like to glance at the written pattern mostly and only peek at the video when I’m stuck, which poses a bit of a dilemma in airplane mode. Sure, planes have WiFi, but is it up to the task of streaming? I’m debating.

If I had dived into Woobles sooner, I’d be all set to crank them out mid-flight, no video needed. I’ve still got a little time to level up my skills, so it’s a maybe. The thought of leaving a little handmade bunny wherever I go is pretty cool.

Wrapping up this post, there’s a lot more on the horizon. Updates on my temperature blanket are due, and there’s a pile of WIPs that deserve some limelight. Plus, I've got to sort out the projects to bring to Malaysia for our extended stay. That’s a story for another day.

"Adios amigos, disfruta el semana".

Goodbye friends, enjoy the week.
