Hi! ¡Hola!
Isn't this granny cute? I've named her "Granny Square," or should I say "Cuadrado de la Abuela"? I've been taking beginner Spanish lessons, and I'm thrilled to sprinkle a little español into my crochet blog as part of my practice.
She's not an actual crochet creation. She was dreamed up by an AI art program called Midjourney. Cute, no?
I was just playing with the idea of a twist on the classic "Cuadrado de la Abuela" or "Square of the Grandmother". And this digital señora is too hip to be square! LOL.
I mean, just look at those glasses and that funky orange jacket!
Now, this is all just for fun. No real granny squares or amigurumi grannies were crafted in the making of this image, and I'm not selling anything here. Just showing off what happens when I let a computer try its "hand" at crochet.
So, what's fun for me about mixing AI with crochet? It's the "what-ifs".
What if AI could whip up some fresh patterns for me to experiment with?
Or help me choose some wild color combos I would never think of?
Maybe it could even make learning new stitches — or new words — a breeze.
That's all for now!
This is just a little side adventure in the vast world of yarn, hooks, and now, a touch of Spanish. Who knows, maybe it'll inspire some real-life ideas for my next projects.
Until then, I'll just keep working on my WIPs — "trabajos en proceso."
Thanks for reading this far amigos! Adios!
